Sun Lakes Chorale—The Finish Line is in Sight

Yvonne Orlich

Since our December concert, we have had some previous singers return, we have had some members take a leave for any number of reasons, and we have gained some new members. It’s been kind of an emotional roller coaster for us. We don’t like losing members, even if only temporarily, but we love having former members return, and we always welcome new members.

Our Spring Concert on March 20 closed out the 2024-25 season and will be covered in the next issue of the Splash, so you’ll have to wait for that. In the meantime, keep these things in mind and on your calendar (the latter is a necessity for us older, forgetful folks—ha ha):

• The Chorale will take a well-deserved break following our annual meeting on March 24.

• We will reconvene in September (date TBD, probably the first Monday after Labor Day). Watch for date announcements in upcoming Splash issues.

• If you reside in Sun Lakes and you love to sing, we will accept new members starting in September. No new members will be accepted after Oct. 31!

• We not only sing; we have a good time. You’ll meet new people and maybe reconnect with some old acquaintances or neighbors. We have a few fun dinners throughout both seasons and sometimes a fun outing. Think about joining! You won’t regret it. In the meantime, if you attended the March concert, we thank you and sincerely hope you enjoyed our program.

On behalf of the Sun Lakes Chorale Board, members, and director, we wish you well and hope to see you next fall.
