Robin Murray will continue as education and programs chair, Kate Turner as publicity chair, reelected M.J. Clement will continue as Tech Team liaison, and newly elected Michael Carter will serve as chair of the Membership and Business Development Committee. Cindi Decker remains as treasurer.

Sun Lakes Community Theatre is a 501(c)(3) non-profit seniors organization dedicated to providing accessible and affordable live theater performances for the Sun Lakes community. Our actors, directors, technicians, and support staff present three main stage productions each year (spring, summer, and fall) at the Cottonwood and Oakwood ballrooms that range from comedies to Broadway plays to serious dramas and dinner-theater. In addition, our unique Children’s Theatre troupe performs Dr. Seuss’ Horton plays in colorful costumes in the Chandler elementary schools (post-COVID, we hope to resume in 2023). Also, The ImproVables has now resumed with “make-it-up” improvisational comedy sessions every few months in our local Sun Lakes venues. As part of our community outreach, SLCT also supports the local Chandler Unified District High Schools’ Drama Departments with yearly grants and individual scholarships.

You do not need to have previous acting, backstage, or support staff experience. There are places for everyone to assist in our productions. If interested in joining us, go to our website www.slctinfo.com for more information or please attend our upcoming meeting on April 14 at 5 p.m. on the Palo Verde Country Club restaurant patio (membership meeting and happy hour). Come and join our fun theatrical group.
