Message from the President
Anne Montgomery
Kudos to our General Manager Steve Nolan and his management staff for the comprehensive and ongoing water conservation efforts that are being implemented. Through April, with a little help from Mother Nature, they have achieved a 23% water-cost savings as opposed to last year. Just as important is that this dollar savings translates into many thousands of gallons of water unspent. Over the balance of the year, the measures now in place and those yet to come onboard should add up to quite an impressive total. This ongoing conservation program is, and will continue to be, of great benefit to our HOA and our environment. We homeowners should be mindful of our use of water resources as well.
Golfers – sharpen and refine your game! Jon Griglak, our CWPV Director of Golf Instruction, now has the Trackman 4 Golf Training System up and running. This system can analyze all aspects of every swing: in total, 26 data parameters to help each golfer improve their swing and their game. The data can be used for putting improvement, ball and club fitting, impact analysis and so much more. There is a Test Center that allows students to see how they are improving, an Optimizer that will show individuals their full potential of any shot and HD video analysis. For full details on this very exciting new “tool,” please contact Jon Griglak or any of our golf pros at either shop.
Fitness Activity Center (FAC) Update: This month, we would expect to see the stucco work completed along with the stone veneer and the “earthwork” finished. Interior work continues with drywall completion, finish carpentry and painting. All schedules are subject to change as events take place. As always, this is a hardhat site, and only authorized personnel may enter. To stay informed of what is going on inside, check out the weekly updated photos on the website or at Homeowner Services.
Congratulations to Nina Rodriguez De Fierro, Cottonwood Palo Verde’s June Employee of the Month. Since 2004, Nina has been employed as a housekeeper in the Custodial Department. She is diligent, always strives for perfection and is willing to help any homeowner or employee in need of assistance or direction. Nina is a great team player. In fact, she was one of two housekeepers that immediately volunteered to help with the 40th anniversary celebration. She does any number of tasks throughout our property, but she is most regularly seen taking care of the women’s fitness center. Recently, Jim Miller, Nina’s manager, received a letter from several homeowners wanting to recognize Nina for her dedication to keeping the fitness center sparkling clean and the supplies always filled. Nina, you are greatly appreciated by homeowners, management and staff and are a pleasure to work with. We look forward to having you as part of our HOA “family” for many years to come. Thank you, Nina!
Happy 4th of July, Everyone!
