Happenings at the Sun Lakes Country Club Library

Wow! Great! Our Library has a copy of James Patterson’s NYPD Red 4. This book is No. 1 on both the Publishers Weekly Bestseller List and the USA Today Best-selling Books List for February 7, 2016.
NYPD Red 4 is co-written by Marshall Karp. This is Patterson’s 25th book to debut at No. 1. Patterson’s books have sold more than 300 million copies and he has had more No. 1 best-sellers than any other author. Impressive!
Recently, Patterson gifted $2 million in grants and bonuses to schools, libraries and independent book sellers. He is coordinating this gift with the Scholastic Reading Club and the American Bookseller’s Association. This means that 340 libraries and 87 independent bookstore employees will share in this donation.
Over the years the Associated Press states, “the bestselling author has been as prolific at philanthropy as he has been at writing books.” Books are “alive” thanks to writers like Patterson and his co-authors. On a more personal note, are there any mystery readers, men or women, who have not read a Patterson thriller?
Other new additions to our library are Motive by Jonathan Kellerman, Foreign Wars by Stuart Woods and Kickback, a Robert B Parker mystery. We also have The Bitter Season by Tami Hoag, Commander in Chief by Tom Clancy and All Dressed in White by Mary Higgins Clark.
Donations are always welcome – read them and recycle them!
