SLCC Library happenings
Yes! The summer of 2016 is just a memory now for those who get away and the many who remain in our community year round. Hopefully, you enjoyed a good book or two. Our favorite authors are like friends and we cannot wait to find out what is new with them.
One of the joys of volunteering at the SLCC Library is talking with other readers. All suggestions of good authors you are excited about are very much appreciated. One author that was praised recently is C. J. Box.
If you like rugged outdoor settings mixed with a gripping thriller, C. J. Box is your man. He has written 16 Joe Pickett novels. Joe Pickett is a Game and Fish Warden in Wyoming who has a talent for getting into complex and even frightening situations. Even if hunting and fishing are not your thing, the reader gets a great story with lots of local history and geography. Also included are references to protecting our environment and endangered species and the agencies that do not always manage these resources with the best results.
Our library has several C. J. Box books, including his latest one, Off the Grid. Stop by soon and see what other new additions are included in our collection. Volunteer librarians are available to help you Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. You may borrow books from the open shelves during club house hours. Donations are always appreciated.
Read them and return them.
Thank you.
