Health and Wellness Fair

Cost: Free

Join us in the Navajo Room for the second annual Health and Wellness Fair! Come get FREE flu and pneumonia shots from the Pharmacy at Safeway before the flu season hits – advanced signup is necessary, and an insurance card and photo ID must be present. Also, enjoy and explore the many health and wellness booths! Shot signups are available at the Administrative Services desk at SLCC. Please consider bringing canned food items to donate to Matthew’s Crossing Food Bank.

Veteran’s Day Celebration

Date: Saturday, November 11

Time: 11:00 a.m.

Location: Veteran’s Pavilion SLCC and Navajo Room

The annual Veteran’s Day Celebration will be hosted this year by the East Valley Marines. All are welcome to join at 11:00 a.m. at the Veteran’s Pavilion at SLCC. Veteran’s Day Celebration refreshments will be provided for the attendees by the Sunset Grill in the Navajo Room.

The Gentleman Doc Holliday

Date: Saturday, November 18

Featuring Wyatt Earp as Doc Holliday and written by Terry Earp, this is the story of the West’s most famous dentist and his journey from one who heals to one who kills. Doc Holliday tells his story to fellow inmates in a Denver jail in 1882 – it’s two months after he and the Earp brothers left Arizona. Along with the play is a cash bar and buffet menu including salad with dressings, warm dinner rolls, baked beans, corn with peppers, mashed potatoes and barbecued flank steak with fried onions. Thanksgiving Lunch at Sunset Grill

Join us at the Sunset Grill for our annual Thanksgiving Lunch in the Arizona Room. A delicious buffet featuring fresh baked dinner rolls, garden salad with assorted dressings, cranberry sauce, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, homestyle stuffing, roasted turkey and assorted desserts will be available. Sun Lakes Country Club’s Second Annual Clubhouse Lighting!

Date: Thursday, November 30

Time: 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.; Lighting at 6:00 p.m.

Location: North Patio and Arizona Room

Cost: Free

Help us kick off December with our second annual Clubhouse Lighting event! Holiday treats and drink specials on the patio begin at 4:00 p.m., followed by the lighting at 6:00 p.m.! Our clubhouse will be decorated for the holiday season, and our best lights will be on display. Enjoy live music and holiday fun featuring The Chordaires, Freddy on the piano, decorations, Santa Claus, hot chocolate, cookies and candy canes and more! No tickets necessary.

Join us on at the North Patio Bar for specialty drinks! Enjoy the misting and fan system when it’s warm, cozy fire pits when it’s cool and our relaxing furniture. UpTown Art Painting Class and Wine

Join us for an afternoon of painting and wine with your friends! UpTown Art brings painting to you with an all-inclusive class that will allow you to leave with your very own masterpiece. The cost of the event includes all the materials you will need, personalized instruction and a complimentary glass of wine. Follow along as an UpTown Artist leads the entire class through painting the selected event picture.

Not an artist? That’s okay! The instructors are there to make it easy for you to follow along and will help individuals as needed. Team Trivia

Date: Every Monday

Time: 6:00 p.m.

Team Trivia is a live hosted trivia game. Play as a solo player or bring your friends to lend a helping mind. Compete against other teams for prizes! Our categories include everything from history, TV, sports, geography, music and just about anything else you can think of. If you want to show your competition just how smart you are, this is your chance! There is no cost or obligation to play. All materials will be provided free of charge. Just bring yourself and a desire to have some fun! There will be a cash bar available and a chance to win prizes.
