Join us for the November meeting of the Sun Lakes Democratic Club on Monday, November 14 at 7:00 p.m. in the Navajo Room of Sun Lakes Country Club, 25601 E. Sun Lakes Blvd. N.

There will not be a guest speaker at this meeting. Instead, the meeting will focus on the election of officers and Board members for the next cycle of the Sun Lakes Democratic Club. To be elected are President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer as well as Board members. Officers and Board members serve two year terms. At all club meetings, non-perishable food items are collected for the Matthew’s Crossing Food Bank. Collections take place on meeting nights in the west parking lot from 6:30-7:00 p.m. There is also a collection box at the north entrance of the Sun Lakes Sunset Grill lobby. In 2015 the total amount collected for Matthew’s Crossing was 2,310.5 lbs. of food and $686. With the amount collected in September (180 lbs. of food and $55) the totals so far for 2016 are 2,416 lbs. of food and $309. Everyone is welcome at Sun Lakes Democratic Club meetings which are always on the second Monday of each month. Refreshments are served.
