The Sun Lakes Democratic Club’s next meeting is Monday, September 8 at 7:00 p.m. in the Navajo Room of the Sun Lakes Country Club, 25601 N. Sun Lakes Blvd. Our speaker for the evening will be Jonathan Alanis who is with the Arizona Advocacy Network.

Jonathan, who has visited with us many times in the past two years, always has very interesting presentations about bills and other legislative issues. On this visit, Jonathan will focus our attention and lead us in discussion of the ballot propositions which we will be voting on in the November General Election. There are currently two measures which will be on the ballot and a rumored, possible third item. This will surely be a most interesting evening.

At all club meetings, we collect non-perishable food items for the Matthew’s Crossing Food Bank. Collections take place in the west parking lot from 6:30-7:00 p.m. There is also a collection box at the north entrance of the Sun Lakes Sunset Grill lobby. Thanks to your generosity we have collected over 1,166 lbs. of food and $135 so far this year.

Everyone is welcome at our club meetings which are always on the second Monday of each month. Refreshments are served.
