Hello, Spring!

The Sun Lakes Drum Circle met on February 28 at Sun Lakes Country Club. It was still too cool to be outside. March, however, should be a better month for being under the sky. Our little community of like-minded people are becoming good friends. Some are meeting at other places or going for walks or hikes. It’s a great way to get off the couch and have fun.

A drum/sound circle is drumming, rattles, bells and whatever you have for musical sound that are played for intentions for Spiritual empowerment, a celebration of Mother Earth and the Full Moon and a way to relax, unwind, get out of the house and meet new people. Our meetings are held the Wednesday of the full moon week each month. Come and join us for a short meditation and lots of sounds.

April 25 will be this month’s gathering date and will also be at the Veteran’s Oasis Park and we will carpool then as well.

Our Drum Circle on Wednesday, March 28, was at the Veteran’s Oasis Park on Chandler Heights and Lindsey Road, the northeast corner, 4050 E. Chandler Heights Road, Chandler, AZ 85249. We will be carpooling, so meet at the covered parking at Sun Lakes Country Club by 6:00 p.m. That is when we will leave to drive to the Veteran’s Park. If you meet at the park, watch for us around 6:30 p.m. near the Activity Building at the grassy area. Bring chairs to sit on and if you have any musical instruments like a drum, rattles, bells or any other kind of musical instrument. I have a few drums and rattles and other toys to play with, but we love to see empty coffee containers. Our group is getting creative with their play toys!
