Our club has been busy this summer serving our community.
Numerous work days were scheduled at the shed to dismount the 300 flags damaged this year and remount 300 brand-new flags in order to be prepared for Labor Day and 9/11.
A request for school supplies was made to our members, and enough supplies were donated to distribute to two schools. The schools benefiting from these donations were Picacho Grade School and Skyline Gila River School.
Vision screening was done at Picacho Grade School and Pensar Academy. Lions Kathy Miller, Lynn Born, Jeanette Fletcher, Ruth and Larry Palmer, and Floyd Mullen volunteered to help with the screenings.
Lions Ron Gillette and Chris Linder delivered donations to Hope Women’s Center. The donations were graciously provided by the residents of Robson Reserve. Thank you, Ron, for organizing this collection of donations.
