Members will enjoy a photographic journey of amazing gardens all over the world on March 19 for the monthly meeting! Linda Larson, “Traveling Gardener,” has a beautiful garden here in Arizona. She and her husband just returned from the Equator and Brazil searching for interesting gardens to share on her blog and website.
This summer, Linda visited Mackinac Island for the 70th Annual Lilac Festival (the location for the Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour film, Somewhere in Time).
Visitors are always welcome to attend monthly meetings and one field trip before joining. The club meets all year on the third Tuesday of the month. Meetings are held in the Chapel Center at 9230 E. Sun Lakes Blvd. N, Sun Lakes. Members gather at 9:30 a.m. to enjoy refreshments, socialize and greet visitors. The meeting is called to order at 10:00 a.m., and upcoming field trips and events are announced, followed by a one-hour presentation. Everyone is invited to gather for lunch (optional) after the meeting ends (around noon) at a restaurant nearby.
Upcoming field trips:
March 5 – St. Vincent de Paul Urban Farm in Phoenix, with lunch at Charleston’s
April 2 – Tucson Botanical Gardens with lunch at the Café Botanica in the garden
