The Sun Lakes Garden Club’s September 17 meeting will be Fun with Composting.

Kristi Caggiano is a Master Gardener volunteer, compost expert, and the author of Fail-Proof Composting. A passionate and talented gardener, Kristi has been sharing her knowledge by writing and teaching for more than six years. Her unique perspective of composting is helping both new and seasoned gardeners to create nutrient-rich soil quickly and successfully.

Guests are always welcome to attend a meeting. The meetings start with socializing, refreshments, and greeting guests at 9:30 a.m., followed by a featured presentation and business meeting until noon. Many members and guests also gather after the meeting for an optional lunch at a nearby restaurant. Guests may decide to become a member to enjoy field trips and receive our newsletter. Memberships are $20 per year, and a spouse or second member in the household is only $10 per year.

We meet every month on the third Tuesday at the Chapel Center next door to the Sun Lakes All Faiths Community Chapel. It is located at 9230 E. Sun Lakes Blvd. N., across the street from the Sun Lakes Country Club. If you have any questions, please call Starla Kramer at 480-540 8080.
