Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation’s esteemed Rabbi Wiener is always reminding us to be grateful for what we have, rather than bemoaning what we don’t have. This lesson is one we really need to heed as the Passover holiday approaches, since, once again, we will not be able to join together in person for the traditional Passover Seder. However, here’s where the grateful part comes in. Rabbi Wiener will be officiating virtually, via Zoom, at a Seder service on Sunday, March 28, at 5 p.m. Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation will also be offering a boxed Seder dinner, catered by Chompies. The cost is $30 and will be available for pick-up at the Sun Lakes Chapel House on Sunday, March 28, from 2:30 to 4 p.m. To place your orders and for any additional information, please contact Geri at [email protected] or 480-305-0123.
Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation’s usual monthly service will take place virtually on Friday, March 12, at 7 p.m.
In addition, on Tuesday, March 16, from 3 to 4:30 p.m., as part of the congregation’s Adult Education Program, Rabbi Wiener will be lecturing on redemption and salvation and how these subjects relate to Passover. Of course, this will also take place virtually. It should be really interesting.
All in all, it looks like a busy month for Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation, and we welcome the entire community to join us. You’ll find us on YouTube under the heading of Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation. Please do join us!
