The Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation Sisterhood will hold its first in-person meeting this season on Oct. 21 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel Center. Masks will be required. We welcome our guest speaker Kim Kubsch, whose topic is “Joyful Downsizing.” It’s time to clean out our closets and say goodbye to all of the unnecessary clutter we have accumulated over the years. Kim will use her wonderful sense of humor to teach us how to downsize.

Plans are moving ahead for our annual Card Party on Feb. 7, 2022, which is open to the public. It will be held at the Oakwood clubhouse in Sun Lakes. Tell your friends to bring groups to play mahjongg, bridge, canasta, Scrabble, or other table games. We will have gift baskets, raffles, a catered lunch, and our famous bake sale.

As in past years, we are asking for sponsors for our amazing Card Party gift baskets. Some have sponsored baskets individually, others with a friend, and some with their entire mahjongg or card group. We appreciate your generosity.
