The topic for the January 19 meeting of the Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation Sisterhood is “Wine and Your Heart: Taking Alcohol to Heart.” It will take place at the Chapel Center at 1:00 p.m. Wine has been thought to provide heart health benefits. The speaker is Dr. Eugene Lariviere.

The theme of the Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation Sisterhood annual Card Party at Oakwood Country Club is “Get Your Game On.” This fun-filled event will be held on February 7. Mark your calendar for a day of Mah Jongg, Scrabble, card games, lunch, raffles, bake sale and gift baskets. The cost is $30 for the day which includes lunch and game playing from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. The proceeds go to charities in our area.

It is time to order your 2017 Mah Jongg card from Sisterhood. Our chapter earns $1.25 for each card ordered at no additional cost to you. Your card will be mailed to your house from the Mah Jongg League. Cards must be ordered by January 7.
