The Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation Sisterhood welcomes Phoenix author and former writer for The Arizona Republic Katrina Shawver as the guest speaker at the November 15 meeting at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel Center. She will discuss her book, Henry: A Polish Swimmer’s True Story of Friendship from Auschwitz to America. The SLJC Sisterhood also kicks off its annual gift-giving program, Toys from the Heart, by purchasing holiday gifts for kindergarteners at Frye Elementary School.

Save the date of Monday, February 11, 2019, when our annual Card Party will take place. Have fun playing Mah Jongg, Canasta, Bridge, Scrabble or your favorite game. There will be extraordinary gift baskets, raffles, homemade baked goods as well as a delicious luncheon at the Oakwood clubhouse. Proceeds go to many local charities. All events are open to the public.
