The Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation (SLJC) is an established reform congregation that meets at the Sun Lakes Chapel on the second Friday of the month at 7:30 p.m. Services are a great opportunity to meet new people, connect with Judaism and learn. New attendees are invited to be introduced at the service and members of the congregation connect with these attendees. Oneg Shabbats are held immediately after the service at Sun Lakes Country Club. Everyone is invited to attend. The Onegs are a great place to meet members, ask questions and learn more about our congregation.

SLJC will be celebrating the High Holidays as follows:

Rosh Hashanah – Wednesday, September 24 at 7:30 p.m.

Rosh Hashanah – Thursday, September 25 at 10:00 a.m.

Kol Nidre – Friday, October 3 at 7:30 p.m.

Yom Kippur – Saturday, October 4 at 10:00 a.m.

SLJC dues are $150 per person which includes your High Holiday ticket. Additional tickets for guests, family, significant others and friends can be purchased as outlined on the SLJC website at sunlakesjewishcongregation.org. The Book of Remembrance in which we honor and memorialize our departed family members is under construction. Names must be received by September 8 to be included.

The Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation invites everyone to come to our Hanukkah Festival on December 21 to be held at the Oakwood Clubhouse, Sun Lakes at 4:00 p.m. This event will include a buffet dinner, holiday music, entertainment and a very joyous gathering for all ages! Hanukkah is the happiest of Jewish holidays, so join with us as we all light our Menorahs for this beautiful ceremony; the cost is $18 per person; $10 ages 6-12; under 5 free. SLJC Sisterhood is a social group that supports both the congregation and local charities through their annual fundraising Card Party and ongoing Toys from the Heart program, with monthly meetings with guest speakers on the third Thursday of the month.

The SLJC Choir is known far and wide for the spirit and joy that fills the air each and every time they sing their melodious renditions of prayers and blessings. There are many members in the choir and they come from all expressions of faith. The SLJC Choir is looking for members.
