Steve Engelhardt
In previous articles I have mentioned the outstanding abilities of our members to recreate history and reality in miniature form. Many of you will instantly recognize the photo as a model of the famous Tovrea Castle along 202 near Papago Park. The model was produced off of a laser by club member Paul Shirk from the actual blueprints and paint specs provided by the Castle Staff. This model is to HO scale, which is 1:87.
The club is busy with swap meets and other model train activities and we are preparing our modules to again be set up in the lobby of Stone and Barrel at Oakwood for Christmas. We always look forward to this holiday event and allowing residents to experience our modeling personally.
The club meets in Oakwood every second Saturday. But every Friday we meet for lunch and welcome anyone with an interest in trains, little or big. If you need any information please call Steve Engelhardt, 602–320–9315.
