Have you heard that Sun Lakes Oasis Bocce League is the place to be for 2015-2016? We have more fun than any group activity so that players jockey to register for their playing slots. Once you have registered, according to the guidelines below, you will only need to come and enjoy the fun. Since Ellen does the scheduling for the league, it doesn’t get much easier and fun as that.
We will play two seasons in 2015-2016. The first season will begin on November 4-6, depending upon which day you choose to play. Presently, we will play on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday mornings for a one-hour match. You will need to choose one person to be your partner for the entire year when you register. You can also register as a single player and Ellen will find a partner for you. Each person may only register two people as partners.
Residents of Sun Lakes Country Club who want to join this wonderful fun and cooperative group of seniors will need to contact Ellen Williams by telephone at 480-512-2405 on or after October 1.
Residents of Cottonwood, Palo Verde, Oakwood, Ironwood and Springfield may begin registration by telephone between October 15-23 for Oasis Park Bocce.
Bocce Registration Days at Oasis Park on October 27 and October 28 from 10:00 a.m.-noon. We will have some instructional days if you have not played before so you can learn the game and rules on October 27-28 between 10:00 a.m.-noon.
Ellen will also collect everyone’s registration fees on October 27-28. Registration fees will not be collected during your playing session. This year you will need to pay $10 for one season or $15 for both seasons. We will have a new registration/schedule in December/January for the residents that will want to play in 2016.
If you know of someone that wishes to play Oasis Bocce this fall, please let them know to contact Ellen in October, according to their HOA, for the first season, starting on November 4-6.
Oasis Bocce will be at the Community Open House for Cottonwood Palo Verde on October 17. Registration at the Community Open House for Sun Lakes Country Club on November 14 will only be to fill available openings after the season has started; no guarantees of what days and times will be available.
