Is that the smell of love in the air for February, or is it the smell of citrus blossoms and wildflowers? With all the rain we’ve had and the warm temperatures, the desert should be blooming and looking ahead to spring in Arizona. Yes, you’re right—spring! Get out and celebrate Arizona’s birthday. While others are putting up with late snows, chilly winds, and roads full of mud, we can get out and enjoy the desert. So, let’s do just that and get outside and have some fun with the Sun Lakes Roadrunners RV Club.

Our December Pop Up Rally was once again in beautiful Camp Verde, Ariz., at Verde Ranch RV Park. We were able to book a trip to Blazin’ M Ranch. If you’ve never been to Blazin’ M Ranch in Cottonwood, Ariz., it’s a real treat. The food is great, and a dinner show that’s a real toe-tapper rounds out the package. Along with that great dinner show was a blazing game of dominoes, played in the clubhouse at Verde Ranch RV Park one night after the welcome dinner.

We would love to see potential members and visitors at our regular club meeting on Feb. 8 in the Navajo Room, starting at 6:30 p.m. The Sun Lakes RV Club meets the second Tuesday of each month starting in October, then in November, and January through May. Meetings take place in the Navajo Room at the Sun Lakes Country Club, with social time starting at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting from 7 to 8 p.m. For more information about the club and its activities, go to www.sunlakesroadrunner.com.

The Sun Lakes Roadrunners RV Club is all about fun travel, new adventures, good food, and great friends! The group enjoys many opportunities to see new sights, go on organized tours, explore on your own, dine out or cook at the campsite, and make many new friends.

Prospective members and visitors are always welcome. Come join the fun on Tuesday, Feb. 8.
