Colette McNally

Sun Lakes Rotary Club has nominated member Joseph E. Klimoski as December’s Rotarian of the Month. Joe joined Sun Lakes Rotary in March 2013 and moved right into a leadership position heading up one of our most important fund raisers, the Pancake Breakfast, which he again headed up this year. Funds raised from this event help to support many of our service projects throughout the year.

Prior to joining Sun Lakes Rotary Joe was a member of the Phoenix Rotary 100 Club where he demonstrated his leadership abilities and his willingness to be involved by chairing various committees and volunteering for the Board of Directors serving there for 27 years.

Joe received his degree from the University of Wisconsin – LaCrosse and organized and directed his business career in the solid waste industry. Joe has five grown children and after experiencing the loss of his long time spouse married Shirley and is enjoying a full retirement here in Sun Lakes. Joe has always been one to serve and has been a member of the Chamber of Commerce, the Arizona State Recycling Board, Sun Lakes United Methodist Church, to name a few of his interests. Joe served in the US Army from 1954 to 1956.

All members of Sun Lakes Rotary wish to thank Joe for his continued service and for supporting the goals and programs which make Sun Lakes Rotary special.
