The Sun Lakes Rotary has a variety of interesting meetings each week! During the month of November, there will be three morning and one evening meeting.
The first meeting in November is the morning of Tuesday, Nov. 5. During this meeting, there will be a presentation by The Rotary Foundation. The mission of The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty. Since it was founded more than 100 years ago, the foundation has spent more than $4 billion on life-changing, sustainable projects.
The Sun Lakes Rotary will also have a special Veterans Day meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 19, in the evening. During this meeting, the club will recognize their own veterans. There will also be presentations from Chandler Unified School District elementary school students. It should prove to be a nice evening of celebration and gratitude to our veterans.
Also worth noting is that on Sunday, Nov. 10, the Sun Lakes Rotary Club will host its annual Pancake Breakfast. It will be held at the Oakwood Country Club ballroom from 7:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Tickets this year are $5, down from $10 last year. Children 12 and under accompanied by an adult eat free.
The club meets for breakfast in the Sun Lakes Oakwood Country Club ballroom every first and third Tuesday morning from 6:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. and every second and fourth Tuesday evening for light refreshments from 5:30 to 7 p.m. For visitors, your first visit is on us.
