Sun Lakes Rotary’s Annual Pancake Breakfast! Sponsored by Coulter Motor Company – Tempe

With a Pancake here…

and a Pancake There…

Here a Pancake…

There a Pancake…

Everywhere a Pancake!

We’re Back! The Sun Lakes Rotary Club will hold its 18th Annual Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, November 9 at the Oakwood Country Club Ballroom in Sun Lakes. This year, as last, Coulter Motor Company-Tempe is our major sponsor. Our flippers, mixers, and servers are all preparing to make you the best regular and blueberry pancakes yet! (This won’t be easy, because each year our pancakes are labeled the best in Maricopa County. We know because you’ve told us so.)

In addition to our pancakes, bacon and sausage will be served, complimented by orange juice and hot coffee.

The doors to the ballroom open at 7:30 a.m., which coincidentally is the time we start serving. And we will continue doing this up until 12:30 that afternoon. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, and while you’re there, take part in our great individual raffles held at 9:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and noon. You must be present to win when the raffle numbers are called at those designated times. Of course, there is the irresistible Silent Auction that you’ll want to keep an eye on as you bid throughout the morning. Successful bidders need not be present when the Silent Auction closes.

And here’s some more great news. There will be a major raffle prize—a $400 shopping spree at Basha’s. There will also be one or two additional surprise raffle drawings.

You can’t beat the price of breakfast. All you can eat for $7 (advanced sales); $8 at the door. Lets face it, you won’t want to eat again until at least dinner time.

Why does the Sun Lakes Rotary Club hold this annual event? Because we believe in our motto Service Above Self.

The goal of our club is to make a difference in our community and internationally, with a special emphasis upon education. This includes Choices, a program for all high school freshmen in Chandler to keep them in school; Dictionary Project, giving dictionaries to every third grader in the greater Chandler area; Teacher of the Month awards given to teachers within the Chandler Unified School District; sending high school students to RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) at Camp Ponderosa in Heber each year; sending high school students to the week-long World Affairs Seminar in Wisconsin each year; providing scholarships for students in the Boys & Girls Clubs of the East Valley; caring for students in the Chandler/Hamilton Infant Daycare Programs; mentoring young mothers to continue their study and graduate from high school so they can move on to college or technical schools. We also support Neighbors Who Care, Sun Lakes Community Assistance Program, Hunger Plus, Rotary’s PolioPlus® to eradicate polio from the world, and many other charitable projects.

How can the Sun Lakes Rotary Club accomplish so much? Supportive people like you make it happen. Thank you!

For years, we have received your continuing enthusiasm by supporting our fundraisers, such as the Pancake Breakfast in the fall, and the golf tournament in the spring. We thank you for your continued support. We praise those who have donated items to our Silent Auction. We honor those who have provided special raffle items. Their generosity and yours have enabled us to make an important difference in our world.
