The Sun Lakes Roadrunners RV Club is more active than ever. We have had four rallies so far this season, visiting Verde Valley, Tubac, Quartzsite and Palm Springs. Many more are planned. Our next rally to Chula Vista is sure to be a great time. There is much to do in the San Diego area. Upcoming events include Las Cruces NM and Rocky Point in Mexico. Another favorite, Star Valley, outside of Jackson Hole, is planned for the fall.

Our rally to Quartzsite was fabulous once again. This year we visited a reconstructed old west town besides the usual tour through all the vendor tents and great food provided by the Wagon masters, the Wheeldons, and the Meyers.

While in Palm Springs, we visited the Palms Springs Air Museum and Cabot’s Pueblo. Of course, golf is usually a part of any rally hosted by the Skibos and the Jarvises. The date shakes are always a treat and the shopping in that area is second to none.

We have other non-rally events coming up as well, notably the Spring Fling. This is our spring picnic.

If you own an RV and haven’t come to one of our meetings, we would love to have you join us. Last month, we had a representative from RV Renovators talk to us about getting our rigs ready for trips and hints on how to keep our RVs running smoothly. We meet the second Tuesday of the month in the Navajo Room at the Sun Lakes Country Club. The social period and rally sign-ups start at 6:30 p.m. followed by the meeting at 7:00 p.m.
