They passed their final exams; had their graduation party and are now ready to go to work. Five of our canine residents, along with their owners, have met the criteria for the Positive Therapy Dog program which is a division of American Service Animal Association. The training prepares the dogs and their owners to go into hospitals, nursing homes, rehab centers and private homes. The goal of the visit is to offer comfort and companionship to persons who find themselves physically and socially restricted.
