San Tan Crown Rotary Club of Sun lakes and Orbitel Communications have finished production of the first video of Sun Lakes Veterans relating their stories of service to our country. The video titled “In Their Words” is a two disk set with nearly two hours of your neighbors’ personal accounts of the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the battle of Midway and Guadalcanal, the battle of the Bulge, Kamikaze attacks on the USS St Louis, secret missions into East Berlin, in air recovery of spy satellites, Air Force rescue missions in Vietnam, the USAF Son Tay Raid into North Vietnam to rescue American POWs, service in Korea and many more tales of our Sun Lakes veterans. The video can be yours for a $10 donation to San Tan Crown Rotary. All proceeds will go to benefit Arizona Stan Down to aid homeless veterans in Arizona.
