The Sun Lakes VFW Post 8053 was founded in Sun Lakes, Arizona in December 1975 and is named after its charter member, Dr. Russell W. Bercier (deceased). Since inception, VFW Post 8053 and its Auxiliary have been instrumental in donating more than $35,000 each year and contributing thousands of hours of volunteer service to various military, veteran and civic organizations. This accomplishment would not be possible were it not for the support of the Sun Lakes community though your generous donations, Bingo attendance and participation in our fund drives.

The Sun Lakes VFW Post 8053 invites you to the 2016 Buddy Poppy Ball to help us celebrate another outstanding year of service to our veterans and to our community.

In recognition of the Sun Lakes community’s contribution to our efforts, we would like any Sun Lakes residents and their guests to celebrate with us on Saturday, March 5 at the Sun Lakes Country Club Arizona Room. It will be an evening to relax, enjoy and support your local VFW Post and Auxiliary!
