The Sun Lakes Watermedia Club’s annual Easter Show and Sale is on Saturday April 4. We will be showing our artwork in the Cottonwood Courtyard from 9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Along with our new name Watermedia, we now include acrylic paintings in our shows. There will be many varied and interesting paintings. We always have a good turn out and look forward to visiting with our friends, neighbors and visiting relatives. Hope to see you there!

This month we had a mini-workshop on Vanishing Violet. We painted all the shadows in the painting first and let it dry. Then we finished the painting. This technique makes an artist think about where the shadows are before starting to paint.

Please come by to see the tree paintings in the Cottonwood art room gallery. We are busy working on the paintings that we will hang in May, Still Life – Veggies, Fruit and Glass.

The club would like to invite Sun Lakes artists to join the Watermedia Club. We don’t teach classes but if you have some experience in watermedia and would like to talk to us about joining call Diane Hitt, 802-7080.
