The Sun Lakes Women’s Association says a big thank you to everyone who helped make our 42nd annual Bazaar the first weekend of November such a success! Thank you to all the members and their friends and family who helped set up and sell all those incredible treasurers. Thank you to the staff of SLCC for putting up with all the traffic and fuss. Thank you mostly to you, the community, who continues to donate the items and then supports our sales. As always, we are happy to have it over and yet we have already begun planning for the next one.

Other news within the association – Plans are underway for our Christmas Party on Thursday, December 8 in the Navajo Room of SLCC. All members are encouraged to come enjoy some holiday fellowship, a lovely lunch and some holiday entertainment. Register online at SLWomens.org.

At our regular monthly meeting on December 12 we will be electing officers for 2017. The following are running unopposed: President Judy Canigilia, Vice President Marge Shipe, Treasurer Pat Vachon and Assistant Treasurer Sonja Diemert. Communications Secretary Bonnie Dyer and Recording Secretary Sandy Bealmear.

The new leadership will be on the lookout for worthy causes to support in 2017. Our mission statement compels us to distribute the money we raise to benefit the health and happiness of all Sun Lakes and its residents. If you know of a need, please pass it along to us. We do give generously to as many different types of associations as possible. You can easily request funds from our website SLWomens.org.

Also on the SLWomens.org website you will find a history of our association and a convenient way to contact us. Donating an item, learning about our next event, or joining us are just a few clicks away. Check out SLWomens.org.
