Thanksgiving was originated by Christians to thank God for the bounty and very survival. Should we do less?

To recognize God as Lord is to acknowledge he is sovereign and supreme. To accept Him as Savior is to accept his gift of salvation offered on the cross. To regard Him as father in our life is a step further. Ideally, a father provides and protects, exactly what God has done. It now falls upon us to be trusting children.

Every good action and every perfect gift is from God. These gifts come from the creator of the sun, moon and stars, who does not change like the shifting shadows. James 1:17

Welcome back to our winter friends. Hopefully your summer was enjoyable, and you are now prepared to join us in our Sunday service.

Throughout the winter we will have our choir and soloists delivering great music, competent ministers with meaningful messages and a friendly group of people. It is not too early to consider joining us Christmas Eve when a great service is planned around minister Jim Baugh‘s message and singing.

Our thanks to David Walker, chaplain with Hospice of the Valley who also performs a Sunday service at SunBird Community Church. Married 35 years, he and Diane live in Chandler. Originally from Gary, Indiana, he has been in the ministry since 1972. He commented, “I am very thankful for all of God’s blessings. God is good!” And David, we are all thankful for you.

Bible study begins once more on November 5 in the Clubhouse with Hank Miller teaching and discussing Hebrews. Call Hank at 802-045 for more details.

There you will meet our friendly congregation and hear an uplifting message by an experienced minister. Should we save a place? Our Lord anxiously awaits your presence.
