Sun Lakes Table Tennis Club sent six members to the Arizona Senior Olympic Table Tennis Tournament and all came home with medals. Leading the way was Gerry Vogelsang, our senior tournament player who won a silver medal in both the 80-84 singles and doubles divisions. Jim Spolar was tops in the 75-79 singles winning gold. Steve Chambers won silver in the 70-74 singles age group. Steve Chambers and Steve Weitz won the gold medal in men’s 65-69 doubles. David Zapatka and David Novikoff secured silver in the 60-64 age division. The only Sun Lakes man to win in the mixed division was David Novikoff. With the effervescent Ophelia Shelton, David knocked spun the opponents off the court winning the bronze medal in the 60-64 age division.
