JWV Thanks Its 55 Volunteers, Fry’s, and the East Valley Community Who Raised $15,600 to Support Veterans

Over Veterans Day weekend, Nov. 9 and 10, 55 volunteers collected a total of $15,600 in donations for veterans who are hospitalized, at-risk, and experiencing homelessness. Nineteen volunteers recently attended the annual Jewish War Veterans (JWV) Post 619 BBQ for MANA (Marine, Army, Navy, Air Force) House Catholic Charities, a peer-run organization that helps veterans experiencing homelessness find permanent housing. Visiting with the vets and letting them know their service is valued is the most important part of this outing.
