Thank you to all Sew-N-Sews

Marilyn Rutledge and Ardith Worrell

We need to give thanks to our Sun Lakes Sew-N-Sews for the charity work they support. Here are some of the examples:

Chandler Hospital has received 4000 heart pillows for heart patients and 2500 baby hats and 1000 plus receiving blankets and 1000 Christmas stockings for newborns.

Jo Ploszaj has also made 50 christening gowns and rompers for Maggie’s Place and charity.

Dolly Dressers has donated 12,000 items to Title One schools, charities and shelters of dolls, books and Easter baskets.

Loving Hands have made 10,305 layettes for bereavement births.

Pads for Paws has made 4600 plus dog pads for shelters, veterans and homeless.

Sewing Smiles first grade at Galveston School have done 2500 plus filled Christmas stockings and Easter baskets.

A Sew-N-Sews member has sewn or knitted 5000 blankets and 3000 hats for charity.

As we prepare for Christmas we are reminded to be thankful for our blessings. As co-presidents of Sew-N-Sews we are thankful and blessed to have treasures like you.
