What an assortment! That’s what people say when they see the hundreds of different cards available from The Crystal Card Project.

The cards are recreated from donated cards and sold for $1 each. All the money collected goes to charity – supporting My Sister’s Place, a Chandler shelter for those escaping from domestic violence.

The events listed below are a great opportunity to get cards for all occasions – Thanksgiving, Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries, thinking of you, thanks, get well. Plan to stock up now.

* November 1, Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to noon, Sun Lakes Ladies Coffee, Cottonwood San Tan Ballroom

* November 29 and 30, Wednesday and Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Oakwood Library in the Oakwood Clubhouse

* December 6, Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to noon, Sun Lakes Ladies Coffee, Cottonwood San Tan Ballroom

For additional events, check the website, www.thecrystalcardproject.org.

Want to help by donating used cards or unwanted scrapbooking supplies? There are donation bins in all the Sun Lakes clubhouses. Drop off cards (fronts and backs – we need the message) and materials.

* SLCC – library by the fireplace

* Cottonwood – library left of the fireplace

* Palo Verde – ladies’ lounge

* Oakwood – information hallway between the display racks

* Ironwood – lobby by the front door

Want to help in other ways? We need volunteers to make cards and to help sell at selected locations. Check our website, www.thecrystalcardproject.org, email us at [email protected] or call Charlene Petragallo at 480-883-0782.
