Phyllis Novy
The ImproVables comedy troupe has been invited to participate in the Neighbors Who Care annual conference. The conference’s theme this year is “Aging Made Easier and Lots More Fun.” It will be held on the morning of Jan. 28 at Risen Savior Lutheran Church.
Sheryl Keeme, executive director of Neighbors Who Care, felt that our troupe fits in perfectly with this theme, and we were delighted to accept the invitation. The ImproVables will be featured as one of two keynote speakers. The literature denotes our presentation as “A real-time comedy experience: how to incorporate humor into your life!”
In addition to the keynote experience, The ImproVables will run two of the four breakout sessions that morning. Our sessions are called “Improv Your Aging Years with Laughter!” The breakout sessions are described in the marketing literature as follows: “What Are the Benefits of Improv? Every Monday morning, The ImproVables, a comedy improv troupe of Sun Lakes Community Theatre, meet to practice their improv skills. Phyllis Novy says attendees at The ImproVables [breakout sessions] will laugh the entire session. Join the troupe’s breakout and enjoy the health benefits of laughter, added stress reduction, and the reduced cognitive decline resulting from inspired creativity.”
In addition, the marketing literature includes a link to SLCT’s website.
