Two Sun Lakes instrumentalist groups are in rehearsals now following the short holiday break. The Keyboard Connection, a piano/keyboard group, meets for rehearsal every Monday morning from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the home of their director Jeanette Cline. The Sun Lakes Instrumental Group meets in the Mirror Room at Sun Lakes Country Club every Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. with their director Gene Cline.
Both groups are open to new members to join who play an instrument or the piano/keyboard. These groups have patriotic programs to share with other organizations or facilities. They also have playlists of pop or Broadway, jazz or blues, or a bit of classical music.
The Keyboard Connection can change sounds on the keyboard to be the sound of a Caribbean steel band, a string orchestra, or a jazz band and other ensemble sounds. This makes for a very unique instrumental group.
The Sun Lakes Instrumental Ensemble has all acoustic wind instruments: flutes, clarinets, saxophone, French horn, trombone, baritone horns, and tuba. There are also two violins.
These groups enjoy sharing their music with various clubs, organizations, and facilities. For further information, call 602-430-4787 or email clinemusicinaz@gmail.com.
