Bette Hargrave
Dear Friends and Readers,
Your volunteer librarians have a special request for all patrons that you return ASAP all books that you have read. The library is especially short of our large print books; more and more, these books are particularly important to those of us who are experiencing eyesight problems. Please be a friend!
The library has purchased recently for your pleasure three additional large print selections: The Lost and Found Bookshop, by Susan Wiggs; Outsider, by Linda Castillo; and Credible Threat (Ali Reynolds Series number 15), by J.A. Jance.
To our shelves we also have added, through donations from our loyal patrons: 28 Summers, by Elin Hilderbrand; Daddy’s Girl, by Danielle Steel; Big Summer, by Jennifer Weiner; and The Book of Lost Friends, by Lisa Wingate. Ninety-one percent of Google users liked this book.
One of my favorite characters for many years now is Mitch Rapp. In chronological order, these are the titles you may find him in and all by Vince Flynn (b: 1966, d: 2013): American Assassin, Kill Shot, Transfer of Power, The Third Option, Separation of Power, Executive Power, Memorial Day, Consent to Kill, Act of Treason, Protect and Defend, Extreme Measures, Pursuit of Honor, and The Last Man.
Kyle Mills, after Vince Flynn’s death, has carried on the Mitch Rapp character in these titles: The Survivor, Order to Kill, Enemy of the State, and Red War, and Total Power is coming in September 2020.
Kyle Mills, born March 21, 1966, writes novels of the political thriller genre, and while he has taken up the Mitch Rapp character for the enjoyment of us all, he also has developed the Mark Beamon, Special Agent of the FBI series.
Five titles I’ve found are Rising Phoenix, Storming Heaven, Free Fall, Sphere of Influence, and Darkness Falls.
Your library always appreciates your comments and donations. During this unusual time of stress due to COVID-19, I pray you all use common sense and stay safe. Best wishes and happy reading.
