The Library Corner at SLCC

Bette Hargrave

Good Morning, afternoon, or evening.

Come join us in our beautiful, refurbished library, get a cup of coffee in the dining room, sit with us in our lounge, and read to your heart’s content! We are very proud to brag about it!

Are you an avid reader of mystery or perhaps someone interested in non-fiction regarding World War II, or maybe you have a love for the Old West? The Sun Lakes Country Club Phase 1 Library has a good read for you!

Natasha Lester, an author I’m adding to my favorites, has a World War II-genre, The Paris Orphan, on my reading table, and I think it will capture your heart. A little lost girl, an American soldier in Italy, a female correspondent, the war, and aftermath will keep you turning the pages.

So many of you know of Vince Flynn’s character Mitch Rapp, a CIA Assassin, and may have read the continuation of the character by Kyle Mills; Mr. Mills now brings us Lethal Agent. This addition to the character’s story is better than ever, opening with a prelude in Iraq. A dark cave 10 meters square, two rows of men kneeling on colorful mats, Mullah Sayid Halabi, ISIS, the director of Saudi Intelligence Aaliyah Nassau, and Mitch Rapp, and I can’t wait to read on.

More suggestions for a good read are The Invisible Bridge by Julie Orringer (a Costco Buyer Pick), and Imaginary Friend by Stephen Chbosky.

Thank you for reading, and I hope to see you at the library.
