For our regular bowlers, don’t forget to attend our annual meeting on Monday, September 21 at 1:00 p.m. in the Phoenix Room at Cottonwood Country Club. There will be a representative from the bowling alley. We will be discussing the contract, rule changes, bowling fees and other important information. Our first day of bowling will be September 28. Please be early.
As we said in the last newsletter, we now have some information on the Las Vegas Orleans trip. We had 16 Sun Lakes bowlers in the Fun Time Senior 9-Pin No Tap Tournament in July. On Monday, Sue and Clyde Davidson, with a total of 1,684 pins, put them in 8th place out of 578 bowlers. They were leaders of the group. Sophie Doig and Patsy Redman were next in our group with a total count of 1,596 pins, but short of placing for prize money. On Tuesday, Joyce Anderson was the group top bowler with a sizzling 917 pin count. Unfortunately, her partner who wishes to remain anonymous here, kept her from making any money. (Talk to the President for details). On Wednesday, team Sheldon Schusler and Georgia LaPagllia took first in the group with a total of 1,589 pins. Close behind in second place was Mary Harper and John Greenwood with a total of 1,565 pin count.
Please do not forget the meeting.
