The Sun Lakes Cottonwood Palo Verde Pickleball Club is celebrating major milestones in its growth and community impact. Founded in 2008, the club has expanded from a small group of players to more than 400 active members, making it one of the most vibrant pickleball organizations in the area.

To support the growing interest, four dedicated courts were built in 2012, followed by the addition of three more courts in 2021, bringing the total to seven. These courts serve as the heart of the club, offering a welcoming space for recreational play, leagues, tournaments, and instructional clinics.

The club is not just about playing. It’s also a social hub. With a growing calendar of organized events such as mixers, holiday parties, potlucks, and tournaments, the club promotes community, connection, and fun.

Two membership options are available:

• Full Membership includes access to all court play, tournaments (a fee may apply), and social events.

• Social Membership is ideal for non-players who want to participate in club gatherings and support the community.

“Our goal has always been to promote fitness, friendship, and fun,” said a club representative. “We’re proud to offer something for everyone, whether they’re on the court or cheering from the sidelines.”

Pickleball, a sport combining tennis, badminton, and ping-pong, continues to grow in popularity nationwide, and the Sun Lakes Cottonwood Palo Verde Club is leading the charge locally.
