The Sun Lakes Democratic Club Is Moving Forward

Roxy Banta

The Sun Lakes Democratic Club is moving forward in 2023!

We have new co-presidents, Chris and Stephanie Graves, who will be presenting their ideas for the club as they take their term of office. We look forward to another great year keeping you informed as the Democratic Club provides opportunities to meet candidates, learn about issues, be informed on the legislative session, and provide opportunities to get involved and meet like-minded people.

We are happy to announce that we will be dropping the Zoom sessions at this time, continuing normal, in-person meetings to be held the second Monday of each month. January’s meeting will be at the Sun Lakes Country Club in the Navajo Room on Monday, Jan. 9. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for socializing, with the meeting starting at 7 p.m. We look forward to seeing you there!

Speakers:

Jennifer Pawlik, AZ House Representative, LD 13

Representative Pawlik, re-elected to her third term as AZ House Representative, Legislative District 13, will discuss the new legislative session, which begins on Monday, Jan. 9. She will advise on what bills are already submitted and others that are expected to be voted on before the end of the session. We will also learn how we can advise on these bills, both to her and on the Request to Speak system.

Chris and Stephanie Graves, New Co-Presidents of the Club

As our new presidents, the Graves will present their new ideas for the club as they take their term of office.

We support Matthew’s Crossing Food Bank. Donations can be dropped off at the meeting or made online at matthewscrossing.org. You can receive a receipt for the dollar-for-dollar tax deductible donation.
