The Sun Lakes Lady Niners continued enjoying the golfing season during February, which included participation in the SunBird Golf Club Home on Home Tournament at the SunBird Golf Club on Feb. 27. Twenty-seven Sun Lakes Lady Niners participated in the SunBird tournament and enjoyed the warm hospitality extended by the SunBird Lady Niners. The weather was beautiful, and the friendly competition made for an enjoyable outing.
The Sun Lakes Lady Niners is a fun group of ladies of all ages and golfing abilities, from beginners to more advanced levels of play. A different game is played each week based on handicap to provide everyone a chance to win. The Lady Niners golf at Sun Lakes Country Club on Tuesday mornings at 9 a.m. (10 a.m. during the colder months of December and January). League play runs November through April. The monthly meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month at 10 a.m., with golf following at noon.
The Club Champion, Presidents Cup Awards, and Most Improved Player Award for the 2023 season were distributed at the February meeting. These awards are based on all scores from January through April and November and December.
