Unity: Be Aware

Kay Davis

Greetings from Unity Church of Sun Lakes, a new thought church that follows the teachings of Jesus the Christ as well as other wise Spiritual Masters. We think positively and pray affirmatively because we know that God Love is everywhere present and indwelling in all of us, whether we know it or not. Rev. Jeanne McLaughlin broadcasts and records our Sunday morning services on YouTube. To watch, open our website, www.unitychurchofsunlakes.org, and select “Services.”

One of the core beliefs of Unity is that of Oneness. We are all a part of the human family and are evolving in our inclusivity of all people who have been thought of in the past as “other” or “different.” Because of the coronavirus, for safety in not spreading the disease, we cover our faces and keep distance unless we are with our family we live with. The people we pass on the street or shop with in the grocery store become invisible, or you might call neutral, to us. Be aware and notice that this is happening. We can stop this de-personalizing by taking a stand and saying to ourselves, “You are my friend.” Hold that thought. Our spiritual evolution depends upon us to be awake and participating in loving and including all people. Social distancing does not have to mean being divided. We are One.
