Unity teaches a positive lifestyle, one that promotes healing and growth in all areas of our lives. God continues to keep creating through us and around us all the time. Even though we are in the middle of winter, the bulbs and seeds under the cold, dark surface of the earth are getting ready for a great celebration and renewal. In Unity, we live in the anticipation that something good is happening to us and through us. We joyously look beyond the false appearance of lack and limitation to the Truth that the God of our being is actively ready to support us – not to just survive – but to thrive and flourish and accomplish our Divine purpose.
Opportunities for growth are many; contemplation, journaling, meditation, chanting, prayer team, and a workshop on Activating the Healer Within are all available in February. Come be a part of a movement toward something better than you’ve imagined before.
Sunday Celebration: Our church services are held in the Arts and Crafts Room of the Sun Lakes Country Club on Sunday at 9:30 a.m., filled with inspiration, meditation, music and an encouraging, motivational lesson with Rev. Debbi Brown. Coffee and fellowship follow the service.
Class: Richard Yocom will lead the class on Contemplation and Journaling February 4 from 10:30 a.m.-noon in Room A-3 at Cottonwood to increase your self-awareness, develop inner peace and expansively experience different states of consciousness. On February 18 and 25 the lesson will be on Chanting. Love offerings appreciated.
Special Workshop: On Monday, February 8, Howard Reynolds and Robert Harding will chair a workshop on Activating the Healer Within You. Robert Harding is the author of Blue Star, the True Story of One Man’s Spiritual Awakening and Vision Quest. He lives in London, England and is touring the U.S. Love offerings appreciated.
Annual Meeting and Potluck: Sunday, February 28 will be our annual meeting and potluck lunch immediately after the church service. Bring a dish to share.
