Unity: Perception

Kay Davis

Unity Church of Sun Lakes is a spiritual community that focuses on peace, love, and healing. We follow the teachings of Jesus as well as other spiritual Masters. Our prayers are affirmative to align ourselves with the Truth we know is in all of us. We meet in the Arts and Crafts Room of Sun Lakes Country Club, a long block south of Riggs on Sun Lakes Blvd., at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday morning. Our minister is Rev. Jeanne MacLaughlin. Coffee and fellowship follow the service.

At Unity, we believe we are all human beings having a spiritual experience. We honor our unique, individual selves, and at the same time, we honor our Oneness with each other in spirit. Join with me as I ask a simple question. How do I perceive myself and my life in this moment today? This could be something we could ask on a regular basis lest we become the unknowing victim of our own negative thinking. Today, in silent contemplation, we remember our own birthright of the Presence and Power of God within us, around us, and moving through us, lifting us up, healing us, and acting as us, and we know it is Good. In this moment, we experience peace, and we know this Presence is always at hand whenever we turn within. Returning to our human experience, nothing has changed and at the same time, everything has changed. We now perceive our life from a different perspective, a place of wholeness.
