Unity Church of Sun Lakes is a New Thought Community. We celebrate Peace, Love, Light, Joy, and Healing. Our practice is affirmative prayer and positive thinking, and we support one another in living a Spirit-centered life. Rev. Jeanne MacLaughlin is our Spiritual leader and presents us with our lessons on Sunday morning at 10 a.m. in the Arts & Crafts Room at Sun Lakes Country Club, Phase 1.
Jeanne and Barbara Horton were a singing group called the Ya Yas before Jeanne started on her journey to become our minister, and they performed at many different Unity Churches in the Southwest region. Barbara Horton is an amazing composer and writes many of the songs they sing together. We are so blessed to have them perform our music on the second and fourth Sunday of the month. Join us. What does it mean to be a part of a community? To me, it means to reach out beyond our own chosen group to serve others. Unity has been bringing food items and monetary donations to Matthew’s Crossing Food Bank the first Sunday of the month for years, and we will continue to do that. We were also given the opportunity to go to their warehouse and assemble food packages for school-aged children so they would not go hungry on weekends when they would not have school lunches. It was a joyful event, and we accomplished much that afternoon. We’d like to do it again!
One of our Unity members saw an ad in the Splash for a different group called Feed My Starving Children (FMSC), and it looks like something our members can do. FMSC is a Christian, nonprofit organization dedicated to serving supplemental/nutritional food packages for children in need all over the world. If you would like to know more about FMSC, there is a video out on YouTube that tells about this organization.

Reiki: Meets Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in Room A-2 at the Cottonwood clubhouse.

Unity Community: Join us in filling food bags for FMSC on April 19.
