We are coming into a brand new year, 2015, with great expectation. What is it that you want to see in your life as this year unfolds? Would you have more peace, love, plenty, health, joy and wisdom? If these are the desires of your heart then you can be happy for you already have them. If you don’t know that you have them you must look to your thoughts and words to find where you are blocking your gifts. A Unity acronym, T.P.M., which stands for ‘This Present Moment’ can open up your understanding of the relationship of your thoughts to the world that you perceive. Take a deep breath and as you exhale just feel the peace and the comfort in This Present Moment. Examine your thoughts periodically to check yourself out and see if you are thinking loving, compassionate, non-judgmental and positive thoughts. If not, gently release any negative thoughts and come back to your God-centered thinking. Remember, we perceive our world from what is happening on the inside and not what we think we see on the outside. We all need to take more deep breaths, release what holds us back and step into the New Year knowing we are one in God, beloved and holy, guided and blessed and overflowing with peace, love, plenty, health, joy and wisdom. And that’s the Truth!
Events, Classes and Services are as follows:
Sunday Celebration: Our church services are held in the Arts and Crafts room of the Sun Lakes Country Club at 9:30 a.m. Reverend Debbi Brown is our Minister. Coffee and fellowship follows the service.
Guest Musician: We have a treat for you on January 11. Jack Bernath brings us his Blue Grass music at our Sunday service. You won’t want to miss this.
Unity Explores: On January 20 we will be visiting MIM’S (Musical Instruments Museum). We will meet at the Cottonwood flagpole at 9:30 a.m. to carpool. The museum is open for lunch from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Workshop in January: Prosperity Consciousness- Three Steps to Abundance with Richard Yocom on Thursday, January 22 at Cottonwood Country Club Room A-3 from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Based on the book with the same title, local author Richard Yocom will guide us in applying the timeless universal laws of abundance to create a more prosperous life for yourself in 2015. Open to the community; come and set your personal goals and intentions with us. Suggested love offering of $25 includes the book we will be using in class. No one will be turned away. Burning Bowl Ceremony: This will be held during our Sunday morning service on January 4.
