Look what fell out of the friendly skies – a flock of former stewardesses, now known as flight attendants. Now in our golden years, we remain vibrant with the memories of our once glamorous job, before the women’s movement, before airborne luxury was edged out by low fares and frequent flyer miles. Back then flying commercial was elegant and elite. Passengers were well-dressed and well-coiffed and left their crying babies at home! The stewardesses who pampered them were glamorous.
We’ll reminisce and make new friends. Join us at our informal monthly luncheons, with tales from around the globe. We share our old adventures and new adventures, share international food, perhaps some travel and certainly some new friendships and whatever else comes our way. We’ll reunite to retain flying days’ friendships.
If you are a former stewardess please join us for fun, sharing and especially to make new friends. One of our stewardesses, Dawn, still using her discount perks, can’t get foreign travel out of her veins and is looking for a travel buddy to take a few international trips later this year and next year.
We meet the second Friday of each month for lunch, either at an ethnic restaurant or someone’s house, usually Roseanne’s (she is a chef by trade). For further information contact Rosanne Walton at 480-802-6524; e-mail [email protected]; or Dawn Wolf at 480-941-4300; e-mail [email protected].
