Please come and join our newly elected officers for 2015-2017 at our first Weeders Garden Club meeting on September 10. Our new officers are President Debbie Dunham, Vice-President Lollie Sharpe, Corresponding Secretary Gloria Zarifis, Treasurer Janice Giachino and Recording Secretary Jane Watkins.

We have had the summer off from meetings to garden, find and explore new ideas, try out new plants and vegetables as well as take some time to visit family and friends in other states. With these visits there is always an opportunity to learn a new thing or two about gardening that can play out as we get back to our personal gardens.

The Weeders Garden Club meets the second Thursday of each month, September through May, in the Navajo Room at Sun Lakes Country Club in Sun Lakes. Treats and coffee are served beginning at 9:30 a.m. and the business meeting is from 10:00 a.m.-noon. There is an interesting speaker and a horticulture presentation each meeting as well as a club money-making raffle, too! Come join us on September 10!

Membership is open to everyone. Although field trips are reserved for members, anyone interested in attending a meeting is welcome.
