Join us on Thursday, Oct. 12, from 12:45 to 2:30 p.m. at Sun Lakes United Methodist Church, at 9248 E. Riggs Road, in Sun Lakes. We will kick off the 2023-24 season with the groundbreaking documentary We Hear You, Now Hear Us.

The film depicts the stigmas and challenges of living with hearing loss. When you have hearing loss, conversation is like a game of Wheel of Fortune. Some of the letters are filled in, while others are blank. People with hearing loss take these incomplete sounds and put them into words or phrases that they hope make sense in the context of the conversation. It doesn’t always work, often leaving them feeling isolated and alone. People with hearing loss struggle to fit into the hearing world. In We Hear You, Now Hear Us, you’ll see three individuals share their incredible hearing loss journey.
